CHITRAL: Newspaper hawkers in Chitral are facing growing difficulties as newspapers from Peshawar are not reaching the district on time following changes in the opening schedule of the Lowari Tunnel.
The delay has disrupted the early-morning distribution of newspapers, affecting both hawkers and readers who depend on timely delivery for their daily news.
The issue has also placed additional pressure on newspaper sellers, whose business relies heavily on early circulation.
Hawkers have urged the authorities and newspaper distributors to ensure timely transportation so that newspapers can reach Chitral at an appropriate hour.
A similar disruption in newspaper supply was previously reported after changes in the timing of transport services from Peshawar.
Not only hawkers, the unwise and irrational timing of transporters is creating troubles for whole people of Chitral. they suffer mental anguish as well as economic losses and have to wait for hours under open sky in sub zero temperatures at Lowari tunnel. The government should tight noose around these transport mafias both in Chitral Peshawar and Rawalpindi Islamabad who are treating Chitrali passengers as a commodity rather than as human beings.
